The Indian Institute of Sustainability fully supports undergraduate students. To this end, the university provides many offices and services to assist students in their academic pursuits. However, students are expected to be responsible for their education. If your students are experiencing academic difficulties, your students should take the initiative to find available resources to help.

- Academic advisors -

Academic advisors are provided by the school or university your student is attending. The consultant can be an employed consultant or a faculty member. Your student will be assigned to a guidance counsellor. After the orientation meeting, your student may continue to meet with the same counsellor or may request a different counsellor. Academic counselling appointments allow students to get along with academic counsellors alone to discuss personal interests and course options. Academic advisors can also assist students with academic planning and decision-making, recommend other appropriate resources to students, and handle necessary paperwork. Some schools/colleges require students to meet with their advisors every semester to discuss course options. For other schools/colleges, it is up to individual students to decide whether academic consultation is required. However, it is strongly recommended that students meet with academic advisors every quarter even if they are not needed. In addition to academic advisors, academic peer advisors are students who work in dormitories and are trained to provide academic information and help about certain schools/universities.
